Profile
Summary:Adams is a gifted athlete who tested well at the Combine and found a way to increase his production even in a time when South Carolina struggled to move the ball consistently through the air. Scouts love his foot quickness and ball skills, with several of them projecting him to be a menace to defenses who play Cover 2 because of his ability to run vertically and challenge LBs to cover him.
The more you can do: Adams' high school classmates won't be surprised to see him play in the pros. The 6-5 pass-catcher was a do-everything athlete as a prep, playing quarterback, tight end, defensive end and punter on the football team and also playing power forward on the basketball team.
Can block, too: Adams looks and plays like a pass-catching TE, but his NFL.com Scouting Profile explains he's more than just willing to fulfill a blocking role, too. The profile says Adams "Looks spindly on the hoof, but buys into his role as a blocker. Can lock on and sustain a block longer than expected and was used in pass pro."
