Profile
Summary:Tabor earned five starts as a true freshman for Florida in 2014 and garnered attention early on for his aggressiveness on defense. His three interceptions returned for touchdowns during his sophomore and junior seasons ranked third most by an FBS player during that period, and he ranks sixth all-time in Florida history for career pass breakups.
According to Tabor's **draft profile on NFL.com**, he plays with initial patience but also foot quickness and ability to accelerate quickly; is able to smoothly and quickly change direction from one route to the other and displays excellent hand-eye coordination that allows him to track a ball in the air.
Analyst Lance Zierlein said digs against Tabor are lapses in judgement and awareness in coverage, but he also said the nine picks "didn't happen by accident."
"He is a pure cover corner with the ability to pattern match around the field, but don't expect him to be a plus tackler in run support," Zierlein said. "He has the traits of a first-round cornerback, but some teams may be put off by some of his annoyances."
Stacking up: NFL Media analyst Bucky Brooks and his counterpart Mike Mayock both listed Tabor as fourth-best among cornerbacks, while Chris Burke of Sports Illustrated ranked Tabor at No. 7 at his position in this draft class.
Stingy DB in D.C.: Tabor attended Friendship Academy in Washington, D.C., where he was the only sophomore among the *Washington Post *All-Met first and second teams in 2011. According to the *Washington Post, *Tabor did not allow a single reception during his junior year. As a senior, he recorded five interceptions and 17 pass breakups and helped Friendship Academy to its second consecutive berth in the DCSAA AA championship game.
