Profile

Summary:A two-year starter at Alabama, Humphrey has a strong frame and the ideal size to play cornerback in the NFL. He benefitted from playing against top-notch competition each week in the SEC, and snagged five interceptions in 29 career games. A standout track athlete in high school, Humphrey also has the speed to stick with receivers in coverage.

Lance Zierlein of NFL.com said Humphrey has "the body type and athletic traits that are out of central casting. Fluid hips and hard-charging makeup speed. Well-versed in a variety of coverages. Plays with disciplined eyes and good balance between high-low responsibilities in zone. Good short-area acceleration to close out receivers and attack throwing lanes. Reactive athleticism helps erase coverage mistakes."

Stacking up: NFL Media analysts Mike Mayock and Bucky Brooks both have Humphrey listed as the draft's second-best cornerback. Brooks had him in that spot before and after the combine, while Mayock moved him up a spot from his pre-combine list. Chris Burke of *Sports Illustrated *ranked Humphrey at No. 5 on his cornerbacks list.

Family ties: Humphrey's father, Bobby, ranks second in Alabama history with 3,420 rushing yards and was a two-time All-American running back. He was a first-round draft pick by the Denver Broncos in 1989.
