MINNEAPOLIS — As part of the Vikings annual Salute to Service game, the Vikings and Polaris partnered with the Wounded Warrior Project to recognize the service and sacrifice of retired U.S. Marine John Chance.
In 2007, Chance was wounded in battle when he was in a vehicle that hit an IED. Chance was awarded a Purple Heart.
Since retiring, Chance has worked closely with Ardent Outdoor Group, a non-profit that takes military veterans out on hunting excursions.
To honor Chance, Polaris surprised him with a brand new RANGER vehicle during halftime.
Polaris Chairman and CEO Scott Wine presented Chance with the RANGER and delivered news that Ardent Outdoor Group will also receive three new Polaris RANGERS.
