EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings on Monday announced that cornerback Patrick Peterson has been placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.
Peterson played all 70 of Minnesota's defensive snaps Sunday at San Francisco, as well as seven snaps on special teams.
It was his second game back after rehabbing a hamstring injury he suffered at Carolina in Week 6.

After a Week 7 bye, Peterson missed contests against the Cowboys, Ravens and Chargers while on the mend. They were the first three games he had missed because of injury in his 11 pro seasons.
Peterson has 21 tackles, two tackles for loss and two passes defended in eight games with Minnesota.
Vikings Head Coach Mike Zimmer said Monday that, because Peterson is fully vaccinated, he would be able to return as soon as he has two negative tests 24 hours apart rather than waiting a mandatory minimum of 10 days.
Asked if that creates a possibility for Peterson returning by Sunday's game at Detroit, Zimmer said, "Yeah, we don't know."
"Not too many guys have passed those two negative tests, so you just have to let it play out and see where it goes," Zimmer said.
