EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings on Saturday announced they have elevated receiver N'Keal Harry from their practice squad for the Week 5 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
This is the second consecutive week in which Harry has been elevated. Harry played six special teams snaps in Week 4 at Carolina.
A first-round pick by New England in the 2019 NFL Draft, Harry totaled 57 receptions for 598 yards and four touchdowns on 103 targets with the Patriots from 2019-21.
Chicago traded to acquire Harry in 2022, but he landed on Injured Reserve at the start of the season. He worked his way back and caught seven passes for 116 yards and a touchdown on nine targets for the Bears.
Listed at 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds, Harry adds considerable size to the receivers group. Justin Jefferson (6-1 and 195 pounds) is the next tallest Vikings receiver.
Harry first signed with the Vikings as a free agent during training camp on Aug. 6 and played in Minnesota's preseason opener at Seattle, catching two passes for 24 yards with a long of 19 against the Seahawks.
He was making plays at camp practices but dealt with what Head Coach Kevin O'Connell described as a "soft tissue kind of aggravation in warm-ups" before Minnesota's second preseason game.
The Vikings waived Harry with an injury designation on Aug. 24 but then signed him to their practice squad on Sept. 4.
After playing high school football in Chandler, Arizona, Harry played three seasons at Arizona State, totaling 213 receptions for 2,889 yards and 22 touchdowns for the Sun Devils. Harry finished his college career ranked third in program history in receptions and receiving yards.
