EAGAN, Minn. — The 13th player drafted out of 15 by Minnesota in 2020 became the first to sign his rookie contract, the Vikings announced Monday.
Quarterback Nate Stanley, who was drafted 244th overall out of Iowa, has made it official.
Stanley's 39 starts (27-12) over the previous three seasons ranked fourth nationally among quarterbacks. He is one of just two quarterbacks in Hawkeyes history to go 3-0 in bowl games, joining Ricky Stanzi.

The native of Menomonie, Wisconsin, was an All-Big Ten Honorable Mention by the conference's coaches and won the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award in 2019 when he completed 59.4 percent of his passes for 2,951 yards and 16 touchdowns.
He finished his career in Iowa City ranked second in school history in career touchdown passes (68), passing yards (8,302), attempts (673) and completions (1,155).
Last month, Vikings.com's Lindsey Young did an Xs & Os dive on Stanley and how he could compete for a spot behind Kirk Cousins.
Stanley also recently made a guest appearance on the Minnesota Vikings Podcast to describe the unique environment for his introduction to Vikings coaches.
