Minnesota Vikings 2015 Schedule Released

For the 7th time in the past 8 seasons, the Vikings will start the regular season on the road when they travel to San Francisco to take on the 49ers with kickoff scheduled for 9:20 p.m. CT on ESPN. It will be the Vikings 1st Monday Night Football game since 2013. The matchup will mark the 6th time in history the 2 franchises will open the regular season against each other and the 4th time the Vikings and 49ers have played on Monday Night Football. The primetime contest, which is played at the site of Super Bowl 50, will be the 57th game in Vikings history on Monday night.

The Vikings will kick off the final year of their 2-year stay at TCF Bank Stadium when they host the Detroit Lions in Week 2.

For the 1st time since the regular season opener in 2011, the Vikings will play the San Diego Chargers in Week 3.

The Vikings will travel to Denver to play the Broncosin a Week 4 matchup with a 3:25 p.m. CT kickoff.

The Vikings have their bye during Week 5 and will host the Kansas City Chiefs for the 1st time since 2003 during Week 6.

In back-to-back road division games, the Vikings will play the Lions for the 55th time in franchise history at Detroit in Week 7 and will travel to Chicago to play the Bears in Week 8.

The Vikings return home inWeek 9 to host the St. Louis Rams, who they will face for the 3rd time in the past 4 seasons.

In a matchup of 2015 preseason opponents, the Vikings travel to Oakland for the 1st time since 2003 to play the Raiders. The Week 10 game is scheduled to begin at 3:05 p.m. CT.

The Vikings will host division rival Green Bayin Week 11, their 1st meeting of the season.

In Week 12 the Vikings travel to play the Atlanta Falcons for the 28th time in team history followed by hosting the reigning NFC Champion Seattle Seahawks in Week 13.

For the 1st time in franchise history, the Vikings will play the Cardinals on Thursday Night Football during Week 14 in Arizona. The matchup will be the 2nd nationally televised game of the season for the Vikings, kickoff is slated for 7:25 p.m. CT.

The Vikings have back-to-back home games in Week 15 and Week 16 against the Chicago Bears and New York Giants, respectively.

In the regular season finale in Week 17, the Vikings will travel to Lambeau Field to play the Green Bay Packers on January 3, 2016. The 109th meeting in series history will be the 1st time ever the 2 franchises have played a regular season game in January.
