Since being started in 2006, the MVC Training Program has impacted over 200 women, many of whom are past and present Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders. The 2017 team is made up of 32 talented women who caught the eye of the judges during this year's audition process and were invited to keep practicing in preparation for next year's auditions. These hard-working women meet weekly at the Vikings training facility, Winter Park, to practice their dance technique, perfect their glamor, improve public speaking skills, amplify their fitness with the help of the amazing personal trainers from Life Time Fitness, and much more.
During the year, the Training Program members receive the opportunity to showcase their incredible talent during a pregame performance alongside the MVC and MVC Juniors, at the MVC Winter Showcase at Mall of America and at one of the spring audition prep classes. Being selected to this team is a strong testament to each woman's talent.
The Training Program is fortunate to be led by two outstanding MVC alumni, Beth (12th year coaching) and Jenna (2nd year coaching). The dynamic duo has accrued an impressive number of MVC accomplishments, including team captains, calendar cover model and military tour appearances. Beth and Jenna constantly push and inspire the Training Program to be its best by sharing details learned from their time on the MVC team, providing tips for individual growth and being overall incredible role models for life – both inside and outside the field house. They truly care for each woman on the Training Program and are dedicated cheerleaders as the team works to achieve its biggest goals.
If it wasn't for the Training Program, I would not be where I am today. I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to be part of the team from 2013-2016, and I'm forever thankful for the skills I learned, lifelong friends I made, and how much support I received to achieve my dream of becoming a Minnesota Vikings Cheerleader. This team is made up of some of the most hard-working, motivated and talented women, and I'm so proud to see how the team continues to evolve and the amount of good it does for so many women.
Keep following the MVC Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages to see who will wear the white boots in 2018!
