EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings on Thursday signed linebacker Max Tooley to their practice squad.
Tooley joins Minnesota after first entering the NFL earlier this year with the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent.
The BYU product appeared in each of Houston's four preseason games (including the Hall of Fame Game) on defense and special teams. He totaled 10 tackles (nine on defense and one on special teams), a quarterback hit and a forced fumble.
A native of Bountiful, Utah, Tooley played six seasons at BYU (2018-23), seeing action in 60 games with 31 starts. In his sixth year in 2023, Tooley posted single-season career highs in games started (10), total tackles (92) and tackles for loss (five).
