EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. —Bud Grant's Twitter account is back in business, which means one thing: so is his garage sale.
This year will mark the third consecutive year that the Hall of Fame coach has heavily advertised his sale, and it appears to be becoming an annual event.
In his first tweet since January, Grant posted the upcoming sale dates yesterday with a firm request of no early birds. Mark your calendars, Vikings fans:
Wednesday, May 18 | 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. (CT)
Thursday, May 19 | 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (CT)
Friday, May 20| 8 a.m. to noon (CT)
Grant's unique garage sale offers fans a chance to personally meet the legendary coach – if you make a purchase.
Past sales have included items such as vintage Vikings posters and programs, pocket knives and fishing lures personally used by Grant, a heralded outdoorsman. Last year, one visitor **purchased a rocking chair** that belonged to Grant's grandmother.
If anyone is worried that Grant may run out of things to sell in his third go-around, don't be. The coach, who will turn 89 on May 20, spent 18 years at the Vikings helm, leading the team to 158 regular-season wins and four Super Bowl appearances. Grant's Bloomington home has collected memories along the way. For the right price, Vikings fans will have the opportunity to own part of a legacy.
We'll see you there!
