EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings on Saturday announced they have elevated tight end Luke Stocker from the practice squad as a standard elevation.
Minnesota (2-3) did so ahead of its Week 6 game at Carolina (3-2). Kickoff is noon (CT) Sunday.
Stocker just joined the Vikings practice squad on Oct. 13.
Head Coach Mike Zimmer said Friday that the 11-season veteran caught on quickly "as far as learning and understanding the playbook and the plays we may have for him."
Stocker has played in 130 career games with 91 starts for Tampa Bay, Tennessee and Atlanta. He has played 13 games against Carolina.
