The NFL announced Tuesday that Vikings quarterback Case Keenum is one of three finalists for the Week 3 FedEx Air Player of the Week award and running back Dalvin Cook is one of five Pepsi Rookie of the Week nominees.
Keenum completed 25 of 33 passes (75.8 percent) for a career-best 369 yards. He tied a career high with three passing touchdowns and compiled a passer rating of 142.1, the second-highest mark of his career.
The performance was impressive on multiple levels, considering it was just the second start for Keenum with the Vikings and first at U.S. Bank Stadium.
Each week following the *Monday Night Football *game, through 2 p.m. (CT) the following Thursday, fans can visit **NFL.com/FedEx** or tweet using #AirandGround and the nominees' last names to cast votes for the Air and Ground players of the week.
The other Air nominees are New England's Tom Brady and Washington's Kirk Cousins.
FedEx will announce winners on Thursdays and award $2,000 donations in the winning players' names to The USO.
Air Nominees
• New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady completed 25 of 35 passes (71.4 percent) for 378 yards and five touchdowns for a 146.2 passer rating in a win against the Houston Texans.
• Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins completed 25 of 30 passes (83.3 percent) for 365 yards and three touchdowns for a 150.7 passer rating in the Redskins 27-10 win over the Oakland Raiders.
• Minnesota Vikings quarterback Case Keenum completed 25 of 33 passes (75.8 percent) for 369 yards and three touchdowns for a 142.1 passer rating in the Vikings 34-17 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Ground Nominees
• Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt rushed for 172 yards on 17 carries (10.1 avg.) and a touchdown in the Chiefs 24-10 win over the Los Angeles Chargers.
• Chicago Bears running back Jordan Howard rushed for 138 yards on 23 carries (6.0 avg.) and two touchdowns in the Bears 23-17 win against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
• Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley rushed for 113 yards on 28 carries (4.0 avg.) and three touchdowns (one rec. touchdown) in the Rams 41-39 win over the San Francisco 49ers.
Cook totaled 169 yards from scrimmage. He rushed 27 times for 97 yards and his first career touchdown. The former Florida State standout also caught five passes for 72 yards and helped Minnesota's pass protections, helping Keenum's big day in multiple ways. Vote for Cook here.
