Eden Prairie, MN (October 25, 2017) – Vikings K Kai Forbath has been named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance against Baltimore last week. He made all six of his field goal attempts, both career-highs. The performance tied the second most FGs made in a game in Vikings history, behind Rich Karlis' team record 7-of-7 vs. L.A. Rams on 11/5/89. Forbath hit FGs from 52, 51, 43, 43, 34, and 32, setting a career-high with 18 points and marking the first time in his career he has made multiple FGs over 50 yards in a single game.
The NFC Player of the Week award is the second of Forbath's career (2014, Week 8 vs. Dallas) and his first as a member of the Vikings. It marks the second player of the week honor of the year for the team (Sam Bradford, Week 1) and the ninth under Special Teams Coordinator Mike Priefer.
