EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Jordan Addison overcame one ankle injury from camp to make it to Week 1, but he suffered another ankle injury Sunday in Minnesota's 28-6 win at the New York Giants.
Addison was on the injury report and limited early last week before fully participating Friday.
He was officially targeted a total of four times in the second quarter by Sam Darnold and produced catches for 16, 13 and 6 yards during Minnesota's 99-yard touchdown drive to go up 14-3.
Addison also drew a 36-yard pass interference penalty in the first quarter on a third-and-8. The infraction moved the ball to the New York 27-yard line, and Aaron Jones, Sr., rushed for Minnesota's first touchdown of 2024 on a 3-yard race to the left pylon.

Addison was ruled out for the remainder of the game during the third quarter.
Vikings Head Coach Kevin O'Connell said the injury occurred to the opposite ankle that was injured during the first of two joint practices in Cleveland.
"We're going to have him fully evaluated," O'Connell said. "Don't know the severity of it yet, but, you know, Jordan made some big plays for us early on there, and then to lose him, kind of affected a little bit of the flow there in the second half. But hopefully, you know, it'll be a shorter-term thing. I do not have any real update, other than he did not return."
O'Connell said center Garrett Bradbury was evaluated for a knee injury, and the Vikings also pulled outside linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel late in the game for precautionary reasons. Van Ginkel dazzled in his Vikings debut with a sack and interception returned 10 yards for a touchdown.
