Work on the Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center, the Vikings new home in Eagan, is occurring at the project's highest point. Standing at a height of 113 feet to fully accommodate kicking and punting, the indoor practice facility now has nearly half of its roof trusses in place. The steel wall erection on the 92,000 square foot, full-size field is approximately 75% complete, with the steel topping off expected to take place in early to mid-May.
Additional activity on the site includes work on Vikings Parkway, underground piping and ductwork installation. And this week preparation began for the four outdoor fields set to be installed this summer.
More than 63,000 work hours have been completed by an average of 115 men and women on site daily.
