The Minnesota Vikings announced the following players will be inactive for their Week 8 road game at the Green Bay Packers:
Cornerback NaJee Thompson
Running back Kene Nwangwu
Linebacker Brian Asamoah II
Tight end Nick Muse
Guard Ezra Cleveland
Tackle Hakeem Adeniji
Thompson is inactive for the second week in a row.
Nwangwu made his 2023 debut against San Francisco on Monday but dealt with a late-week illness.
Asamoah is dealing with an ankle injury that resulted in him being ruled out on Friday.
Muse has been inactive for all the 2023 regular season.
Cleveland suffered a foot injury in Week 6 at Chicago. Dalton Risner replaced him against the Bears and then started last week against the 49ers.
Adeniji, who was signed to the active roster earlier this month, has not yet played for the Vikings.
Rookie Jaren Hall will be Minnesota's backup QB behind Kirk Cousins for the fourth consecutive week after the Vikings placed Nick Mullens on Injured Reserve.
