The Vikings have been lighting up the scoreboard over the past two weeks, scoring 26 points in Week 2 against the Detroit Lions and upping the ante in Week 3 against the San Diego Chargers with 31 points. In that span, only four teams have found the end zone more than the Vikings. Arizona (13) has the most TDs in that span, followed by New England with 10, Atlanta with 8 and seven teams (including the Vikings) with 7.

During the month of September, the Vikings scored TDs three different ways – by air, by ground and on defense. By ground was the most common way, with four different players combining to score five times on the ground – QB Teddy Bridgewater (1), FB Zach Line (2) and RB Adrian Peterson (2).

TE Kyle Rudolph had the TD through the air in September, hauling in a 5-yard scoring strike from Bridgewater in the win over Detroit. The lone defensive TD in the month of September was registered by LB Chad Greenway, and his score was also the month's Epic Touchdown.

Greenway grabbed a pass that was deflected into the air and immediately morphed his mindset into that of an offensive player. He broke one tackle immediately after securing the INT and then began bolting down the Vikings sideline. With a 10-man convoy at his aide, Greenway sprinted 91 yards to the end zone to score a TD and put an exclamation point on a 31-14 victory. The TD was Greenway's first since 2007.
