Game Elements: Vikings-Packers

The Vikings (3-2) will host the Packers (4-1) at noon (CT) Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium.

This will be the first of two 2017 meetings between the long-time division rivals and the 114th contest in the series (including two postseason games).

Here's a look at logistics, events and activities inside and outside of U.S. Bank Stadium:

Delta Vikings Village opens:9 a.m.

Stadium gates open: 9:30 a.m.

Kickoff: Noon

A dedicated core Skyway route will be open from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.

On the airwaves

National Television: FOX (Channel 9 in the Twin Cities)

Play-by-play: Thom Brennaman; Analyst: Troy Aikman; Sideline: Erin Andrews

Local Radio: KFAN 100.3-FM in the Twin Cities and across the five-state Vikings Radio Network will carry the game. A pre-game show with Mike Mussman will start at 10 a.m.

In-stadium elements

Vikings 2017 SKOL Chant

The Vikings in Week 1 launched the 2017 "Vikings SKOL Chant," a version of the "Vikings War Chant" that was made famous by the Iceland men's national soccer team after its return from the Euro 2016. Aron Gunnarsson, the captain of Iceland's national team, and Thor Björnsson, a native Icelander and "The Mountain" from Game of Thrones, helped pass along this new tradition.

Fans at Sunday's game will receive SKOL Sleeves for their arms that have been provided by U.S. Bank for use during the SKOL Chant.

Pre-game festivities

Pregame DJ:DJ Skee, a Saint Paul native and founder of Dash Radio, will have a set list of players' favorite songs.

Color Guard: United States Navy, which is celebrating its 242nd birthday today

National Anthem: National recording artist Cobi, who was born and raised in Grand Marais

Gjallarhorn:Thor Björnsson, Icelandic competitive strongman and actor who has finished in the top-3 finishes at the "World's Strongest Man" competitions each year since 2012. He will be joined by friend and fellow Icelandic strongman Stefan Solvi, a life-long Vikings fan.

Honorary Captains: Legendary Vikings defensive tackles Kevin Williams and Pat Williams will be Honorary Captains. "The Williams Wall" helped the Vikings rank No. 1 in the NFL against the run from 2006-08.

Halftime:The United States Army Drill Team from Washington, D.C.

The U.S. Army Drill Team is a precision drill platoon that is part of the 3rd U.S. Infantry. Also known as "The Old Guard," the unit acts as good-will ambassadors for the Army through daring and complex performances with bayonet-tipped 1903 Springfield rifles. The U.S. Army Drill Team has performed nationally and internationally for military, government, non-profit and civilian organizations.

Members of The Old Guard maintain a 24-hour vigil at the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery and also will participate in providing the vigil over the **POW/MIA seat*** *in U.S. Bank Stadium that is dedicated to service members who have not returned home.

U.S. Bank Hometown Hero:During each home game, U.S. Bank and the Minnesota Vikings will recognize one individual who has helped make our community a better place. We will honor a Minnesotan who has gone to extraordinary measures.

Sunday's Hometown Hero will be fallen Wayzata Police Officer William (Bill) Matthews, who passed away when he was struck by a vehicle while in the line of duty on Sept. 8. Bill will be represented by his wife, Shawn; their son, Wyatt; and his colleagues with the Wayzata Police Department.

Minnesota Lynx recognition:The Vikings will proudly recognize the 2017 WNBA Champions during the third quarter.

Marney Gellner, the Lynx play-by-play announcer with FSN, is scheduled to conduct an interview with Lynx captain and Hutchinson native Lindsay Whalen and Rebekkah Brunson.

New Brew: The Corner Bar (inside the Legacy Gates) will be serving the **Northern Battle Brew** for the first time

Autographs:

Vikings Legends will sign autographs from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at multiple locations inside U.S. Bank Stadium and in the Delta Vikings Village. Autographs are subject to change at any time and without notice.

The Delta Vikings Village will open at 9 a.m. Sunday to fans with and without game tickets.

Partner activation:

Bite Squad, CenturyLink, Diageo, Hyundai, Hy-Vee, KFAN, Mills Fleet Farm, Medtronic, Minnesota Lottery, Mystic Lake, North Dakota Tourism, Sleep Number, Twin Cities Orthopedics and U.S. Bank are scheduled to have fan-engagement areas.

Pepsi Sound the North Stage:

Chris Hawkey will perform from 9:45 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Prime Sport Longhouse:

The Prime Sport Longhouse will be open before, during and after Sunday's game to fans with or without game tickets.

Food Information:

Aramark will be serving tailgate fair from inside and outside the Prime Sport Longhouse and the permanent building on Delta Vikings Village.

Beer, wine and the "Purple Passion" drink will be available for purchase in multiple locations. A Bloody Mary bar also will be open.

Merchandise:

The Vikings Locker Room Store will have two merchandise trucks located in the Delta Vikings Village.

Al Church will perform from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

A DJ will play music from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

The opioid crisis has become an epidemic and a national public safety emergency. Giveaways –A pair of mustache sunglasses will be given to the first 1,000 kids who stop by the Explorers booth.

Chuck for Charity – The Vikings new social impact department will be raising money for the Minnesota Vikings Foundation by challenging fans to make a 30-yard throw to an inflatable target.  Winners will receive prizes of varying types each game. The Minnesota Vikings Foundation also will be selling limited edition T-shirts specially designed for the Vikings-Packers game. The T-shirt costs are being covered by U.S. Bank so that all sales can go to the Minnesota Vikings Foundation.

Food Vendors:

There will be three food trucks on The Commons, offering a variety of options from the southern part of the eastern block of The Commons during pre-game activities.

First Aid:

EMTs will move through The Commons and the Delta Vikings Village.
