EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings selected LSU guard Ed Ingram in the second round (59th overall pick) in the 2022 NFL Draft on Friday evening.
The selection of Ingram was used with the second pick the Vikings got from the Packers after an earlier trade in the second round. Minnesota sent the 34th pick to Green Bay for Nos. 53 and 59.

Ingram gives the Vikings depth on the interior of the offensive line, where he could compete for a starting spot with a host of others.
Olisaemeka Udoh was the primary starter at right guard in 2021. Minnesota added Jesse Davis and Chris Reed in free agency, and also have Wyatt Davis, a 2021 third-round pick.
Ingram, a senior who is listed at 6-foot-3 and 307 pounds on his NFL.com bio page, started in 12 games for the Tigers in 2021.
He was a Second-Team All-SEC selection by conference coaches as a senior.
He appeared in 45 career games for LSU, recording 35 starts. He made 22 starts at left guard (22) and 13 at right guard in his college career.
Ingram was a multiple-year starter in college and hails from DeSoto, Texas.
