EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings on Friday signed quarterback Daniel Jones and outside linebacker Gabriel Murphy to their practice squad.
To make room for Jones and Murphy, Minnesota released tight end Robert Tonyan and tackle Julian Pearl.
Jones is joining Minnesota after starting 69 of 70 regular-season games played for the Giants from 2019-24. He was free to join any team's 53-man roster or practice squad following his release by the Giants.

Murphy is an undrafted rookie who recently made his way back from a knee injury suffered during training camp. He returned to Minnesota's 53-man roster but was placed on waivers when the Vikings signed long snapper Jake McQuaide from their practice squad. The Vikings signed Murphy after he cleared waivers.
Tonyan spent time on Minnesota's 53-man roster and practice squad this season, appearing in five games, primarily on special teams.
Pearl had joined Minnesota's practice squad on Oct. 29. He has not yet made his debut in a regular-season NFL game.
