EAGAN, Minn. — Was there any doubt?

Anyone aware that the NFL names an Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Player of the Week for the AFC and NFC could have gotten a commemorative tattoo for Dalvin Cook as NFC Offensive Player of the Week on Sunday evening.

Cook totaled a career-best 226 scrimmage yards and became the first player since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger to end his team's first four possessions of the game with a score. He fueled Minnesota's 28-22 upset of Green Bay in the process.

The running back totaled 163 yards on a personal-record 30 carries and recorded his first game with three rushing scores. He also dazzled on a dynamic 50-yard touchdown catch-and-run for one of his two receptions that added 63 yards.

In three career games at Green Bay, Cook has averaged 169.0 scrimmage yards, the most in NFL history by a visitor to Lambeau Field among all players that have played at least three games at the venue.

Cook is the first Vikings player to win Offensive Player of the Week in 2020, but a teammate in the running backs room, Mike Boone, claimed NFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors in Week 4.

This is the third Offensive Player of the Week award of Cook's career.

The Vikings have had 18 different players claim 25 total NFC Player of the Week Honors since Head Coach Mike Zimmer's hire in 2014.
