EAGAN, Minn. — Dalton Risner has returned to Minnesota's 53-man roster.
The Vikings (5-2) on Saturday activated the veteran guard from Injured Reserve during a series of roster moves before hosting the Colts (4-4) on Sunday Night Football.
Risner has been rehabbing a back injury suffered in training camp that delayed the start of his sixth pro season.
He has played left guard for the Broncos (62 games) and Vikings (15 games).
The Vikings have started Blake Brandel at left guard and Ed Ingram at right guard every game this season.

Minnesota will be playing the rest of the season without left tackle Christian Darrisaw, who suffered a knee injury in Week 8. The Vikings acquired veteran tackle Cam Robinson this week from Jacksonville.
Additionally, Minnesota placed rookie defensive lineman Taki Taimani (ankle) on Injured Reserve and used a standard elevation to bring up defensive lineman Jalen Redmond from the practice squad.
Taimani has appeared in seven games, logging 70 snaps on defense and 34 on special teams. He has recorded three tackles.
Redmond has appeared in four games, playing 42 snaps on defense and 10 on special teams. He recorded a sack in his Week 3 NFL debut and has two tackles so far this season.
