EAGAN, Minn. – Adam Thielen is no longer a Viking, but his impact on the Twin Cities community remains strong.
Thielen, who played for the Vikings from 2014-22 (and was on the practice squad in 2013) before signing with the Panthers last spring in free agency, is joining forces with a former teammate for two worthy causes.
Vikings fullback C.J. Ham will pinch-hit for Thielen, stepping in to host a charity softball game at CHS Field. The annual event will benefit Thielen Foundation and the Ham Family Scholarship Fund.
Similar to the past two years' matchups, the game is slated to pit Vikings offensive players against the team's defensive players. K.J. Osborn hit a walk-off homer for a Team Offense victory in 2022, but Team Defense answered back last May, earning a win off a home run by Harrison Smith – who served as host for the 2023 game.
Ham and Thielen – both Minnesota natives – are encouraging fans to come out for the event, which offers a unique opportunity to see some of your favorite Vikings up close and personal in a fun, informal setting.
