Case Keenum threw a career-best four touchdowns on Sunday at Washington.

He became the first Vikings quarterback to pass for four scores in a game since Teddy Bridgewater on Dec. 20, 2015, and first to do so in a road game since Brett Favre (Nov. 1, 2009).

Keenum's mobility impacted all four touchdowns, even though the fourth was more about quickly getting rid of the football.

The Vikings line up in the shotgun with Keenum joined by Jerick McKinnon on his right, but the play is designed to go to Keenum's left.

Laquon Treadwell is on the right of the formation and cuts across the goal line and cuts in. He, Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs have 1-on-1 matchups as Keenum rolls around and surveys his options.

He has enough speed to stay clean and sees Diggs break away from cornerback Bashaud Breeland in the front corner of the end zone.

Keenum has shown an ability to scramble and extend plays, and Vikings receiving targets have shown the ability to work with him and gain separation. Such was the case on this play.

Edge rusher Ryan Kerrigan had a step on right tackle Rashod Hill, but Keenum stepped up to work with Hill and avoid the pressure. He cruised to his right, which is conveniently the same side of the field where Diggs, Thielen and Kyle Rudolph are working.

After bypassing Kerrigan, Keenum has a clear view to find a small window. Thielen has worked his way inside of cornerback Josh Norman, and Keenum zips a dart. The ball was perfectly placed to keep it away from Norman, but required strong hands and concentration by Thielen.

The Vikings turn to scheme for their next touchdown. Minnesota brings in three tight ends, McKinnon and fullback C.J. Ham.

Rudolph lines up outside where a wide receiver normally would, and McKinnon is to his left. McKinnon, who scored on a fly sweep against Cleveland in Week 8, motions toward Keenum to simulate another sweep.  

David Morgan lines up to the right of Hill and blocks down, allowing Kerrigan a free release to Morgan's right.

Keenum fakes the handoff and backpedals, drawing in Kerrigan and creating room for Morgan to pivot to the right and find acreage of open space. Keenum can simply float a fade-away from the 9 to Morgan for the tight end's first career touchdown.

This time, the Vikings want to set up a screen to the right for Jarius Wright, who is one of four receivers on the play.

Wright lines up between Thielen and Diggs and takes a quick toss from Keenum.

Diggs and Thielen lock horns on the men covering them as Joe Berger and Pat Elflein began trotting toward the goal line. Laquon Treadwell hustles all the way from the left side of the field to help finish the blocking and get Wright into the end zone.
