The 94th East-West Shrine Game will have multiple Vikings assistant coaches working the sidelines on Saturday, as well as a pair of Minnesota natives in the game.
Vikings linebackers coach Adam Zimmer will be the head coach of the West team, and Panthers defensive line coach Sam Mills III is coaching the East team.
Vikings assistant special teams coach Ryan Ficken will be the special teams coordinator for the West, and assistant defensive line coach Robert Rodriguez will coach defensive linemen.
Andrew Janocko, who was co-offensive line coach of the Vikings in 2018, will be the offensive coordinator for the East, and assistant defensive backs coach Jeff Howard will be the cornerbacks coach for the East.
Each squad has a former Minnesota prep star on the roster.
Former Roseville receiver Jesper Horsted, who played collegiately at Princeton, is on the East team.
Horsted was named the 2015 Minnesota High School Athlete of the Year by the Pioneer Press. He set a state record for receptions in one game with 19 in a 2013 playoff game.
At Princeton, Horsted totaled 195 receptions, 2,698 receiving yards and caught 28 touchdown passes. He set school single-season records for receptions (92) and touchdown catches (14) in 2017 when he earned First-Team All-Ivy League honors and let the conference in receptions, receiving yards (1,226) and touchdown catches.
Trey Pipkins, an offensive lineman who starred at Apple Valley before heading to Sioux Falls, will play for the West.
Pipkins helped Sioux Falls go 37-11 and make three NCAA Division II playoff appearances. The Cougars offensive line led Division II with just four sacks allowed in 2015.
The game is scheduled for 2 p.m. (CT) and will be broadcast on NFL Network.
