The Vikings kicked off the NFL's Week 12 slate with a 16-13 last-second loss at Detroit. Despite not having a game on Sunday, there is a schedule full of games that could have a major impact on the Vikings.
Based on the current playoff picture, these three games tomorrow could help decide the Vikings postseason fate.
New York Giants at Cleveland Browns, noon CT
Since losing to the Vikings in Week 4, the Giants have gone 5-1 to take control of the top Wild Card spot in the NFC. The Vikings hold the head-to-head tiebreaker thanks to the 24-10 win. The Giants enter Week 12 as one of the hottest teams in the NFL having won five straight games, but each of their seven wins in 2016 have been decided by seven or fewer points.
The Browns, already eliminated from playoff contention, are in search of their first win in 2016. At this point, they'll look to play spoiler from here on out beginning in Week 12.
Seattle Seahawks at Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 3:05 p.m. CT
Seattle enters the game with a big lead atop the NFC West and could move closer to its third division title in four years with a win Sunday. Winners of three straight, the Seahawks are chasing conference-leading Dallas.
At 5-5, Tampa Bay is both still in the mix for the NFC South title and a Wild Card spot. A win would put them even with the Vikings in the Wild Card and could vault them into a tie for the division.
Green Bay Packers at Philadelphia Eagles, 7:30 p.m. CT, Monday
The final game of Week 12 has two teams on the outside looking in, but still very much alive in the in the postseason race. Green Bay enters the contest with four straight losses and losers of five of their past six. A win could help get them back on track and put them two games back in the division with their final three games coming against NFC North opponents.
Philadelphia handed the Vikings their first loss of the 2016 campaign back in Week 7 but has lost three of its past four games to fall to 5-5. With three games left against opponents that currently would be in the playoffs, the Eagles will look to boost their record to remain in strong contention to play in the postseason.
Despite all of the possible outcomes over the next six weeks, most of the Vikings fate still lies in their own hands.
