EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings will open the 2026 regular season in their Classic uniforms, running back a rematch against the Packers to end the 2025 campaign in the same threads.

Minnesota announced the theme Wednesday, as well as the themes for the entire home slate at U.S. Bank Stadium. Limited quantities of tickets are available.

The Vikings Classic borrows design elements from some of the Vikings earliest uniforms. It features jerseys that are deeper Purple than the modern primary installation, as well as larger numbers with slab serif fonts and gold trim. Classic stripes are on the sleeves.

The look includes a vintage horn and gray facemasks on the helmets. The older version of the helmet horns is longer than the modern version.

White pants feature a vertical gold stripe flanked by purple stripes, a design worn by the Vikings through their first 45 seasons.

In addition to the uniforms, there will be Classic visuals around the stadium, as well as in the Playbook game program when Minnesota hosts Green Bay at 3:25 p.m. (CT) on Sept. 13.

The game occurs two days after the 25^th Anniversary of 9/11. Game elements in NFL home venues, including U.S. Bank Stadium, will include a tribute to those affected by the day's tragic events and its aftermath.

Before the regular season kicks off, Minnesota will host Baltimore at noon on Aug. 22. It will be the Play Football theme, encouraging participation in the sport at multiple levels.

In Week 4, the Vikings will host the Dolphins at 3:05 p.m. on Oct. 4. The game will provide opportunities to recognize Latino Heritage, as well as the annual Crucial Catch initiative.

The Week 7 home game against the Colts does not have an official theme, but the Vikings are scheduled to wear Purple-on-Purple (jersey and pants).

The team will host Adrian Peterson's Ring of Honor Ceremony and its annual Salute to Service game (more info below) when Minnesota hosts Buffalo on Monday Night Football in Week 9.

In Week 12, the Vikings will host the Falcons in a game scheduled for noon on Nov. 29. Players and coaches will have the option of sporting custom kicks as part of the NFL's annual My Cause My Cleats initiative.

The Week 13 home game against the Panthers does not have an official theme. The Vikings are scheduled to wear their modern home uniform combo of purple jerseys and white pants.

The introduction of Rivalries uniforms will occur when the Vikings host the Detroit Lions in Week 15 (more below). That week is also when Minnesota will recognize the team's nominee for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year.

The day and time are to be determined for when Minnesota will host Washington in Week 16, but one thing is for sure: the Winter Warrior, complete with its white helmet that debuted in 2024, will return to action.

The Winter Warrior features white alternate jerseys and pants accented with metallic gray and purple.

Minnesota's Week 18 game against Chicago does not have a theme, and the time and date remain to be determined.

EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings special recognition of "All Day" should make for one heck of a night.

The team announced Tuesday that it will officially induct Adrian Peterson into the Vikings Ring of Honor on Nov. 9, when Minnesota hosts the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football.

A generational talent at running back, Peterson set franchise records that include career rushing marks for carries (2,418), yards (11,747) and touchdowns (97) during 10 seasons with the team that drafted him at No. 7 overall in 2007. Peterson received his "All Day" nickname long before his 2,097-yard rushing season propelled the 2012 Vikings to a playoff appearance. He was named NFL MVP for his efforts and is the most-recent non-QB to garner the honor.

The team surprised Peterson this spring with the invitation to the Ring of Honor. He will be the 29^th member.

The game also will overlap with Minnesota's home Salute to Service recognition, just two days before Veterans Day. Players and coaches will wear Salute to Service sideline attire, and multiple game elements will recognize active duty, reserve and retired members of the military.

EAGAN, Minn. — A familiar foe is getting a fresh look. The Vikings announced they will inaugurate their Rivalries uniform, which will be unveiled at a later date, against the Lions in a Week 15 game scheduled for Sunday Night Football on Dec. 20.

The matchup will occur almost one year after Minnesota donned its Winter Warrior look in a win against Detroit.

Teams from the NFC North and AFC South are participating in the Rivalries series in 2026, the second season of the program.
