Here's a look at the defensive participants and specialists for the North team in the 70th Reese's Senior Bowl:
Defensive linemen
Zach Allen (DE), Boston College: Allen's tackles went from 36 in 2016 to 100 in 2017 to 61 in 2018, but he had at least 6.0 sacks in each of those seasons.
L.J. Collier (DE), TCU: Collier went from 4.5 sacks in each of the 2016 and 2017 seasons to 11.5 in 2018. He had 42 of 82 career tackles with the Horned Frogs this fall.
John Cominsky (DE), University of Charleston: Cominsky ranked second in Division II in 2017 with 2.3 tackles for loss per game. He was 16th in the category with 1.7 per game in 2018, bringing his career total to 48.5 in 42 games. Cominsky had 16 sacks and 10 pass breakups.
Byron Cowart (DE), Maryland: Cowart transferred to the Terrapins for his final season after opening his college career at Auburn. He had 38 tackles (5.0 for loss) and two interceptions.
Greg Gaines (DT), Washington: Gaines totaled 148 tackles, 20.5 TFL, 8.5 sacks and three pass breakups in 54 games with the Huskies.
Jalen Jelks (DE), Oregon: Jelks had 59 tackles in 2017 and followed with 57 in 2018. He had 15 of his 29.5 career tackles for loss and 6.5 of his 15 sacks in 2017.
Anthony Nelson (DE), Iowa: (added to initial participants) Nelson ranked 20th in FBS with .73 sacks per game in 2018. He totaled 119 tackles, 31 TFL, 23 sacks and six pass breakups in 39 games with the Hawkeyes.
Charles Omenihu (DE), Texas: Omenihu totaled 18 of his 30.5 career tackles for loss and 9.5 of his 17 sacks in 2018. He ranked 29th in FBS in sacks per game and 31st in tackles for loss per game.
Khalen Saunders (DT), Western Illinois: From 2017-18, Saunders totaled 129 tackles, 25 TFL and 14 sacks. He also had one rushing touchdown and one receiving touchdown.
Renell Wren (DT), Arizona State: Wren boosted his tackles from 21 in 2017 to 43 in 2018. He totaled 14.5 TFL and 3.0 sacks for the Sun Devils.
Linebackers
Ben Banogu (OLB), TCU: Banogu ranked 17th in FBS with 1.4 tackles for loss per game in 2018 (18 in 13 games). He finished with 49 tackles for loss and 22 sacks in 40 career games.
Te'Von Coney (ILB), Notre Dame: Coney had 116 tackles (56 solo) and 12.5 for loss in 2017 and followed with 123 (63 solo) and 9.5 sacks in 2018.
Germaine Pratt (ILB), N.C. State: After missing 2016 because of shoulder surgery, Pratt shifted from safety to linebacker. He had 69 tackles (5.5 for loss) in 2017 and 104 (10.5 for loss with 6.0 sacks) in 2018.
Cameron Smith (ILB), Southern Cal: According to NCAA statistics, Smith ranked 15th in FBS with 5.8 solo tackles per game in 2018 (58 in 10 games). He finished his career with 211 solo tackles in 47 games.
Drue Tranquill (OLB), Notre Dame: Tranquill recorded three consecutive seasons with 80 or more tackles and went from 2.0 for loss in 2016 to 10.5 in 2017 and 9.0 in 2018.
Defensive backs
Nasir Adderley (S), Delaware: Adderley had five of his 11 career interceptions in 2017 and followed with four more picks in 2018 when he had a career-best 86 tackles.
Corey Ballentine (CB), Washburn: Ballentine ranked fifth in Division II in 2017 with a kickoff return average of 30.6 yards. He totaled 1,158 kickoff return yards in the past two seasons and finished his career with five interceptions and 186 tackles (10 for loss).
Marquise Blair (S), Utah: Blair totaled 107 tackles (5.0 for loss) and two interceptions in two seasons after transferring from Dodge City Community College (Kansas).
Kris Boyd (CB), Texas: Boyd finished in the top 25 in pass breakups in FBS in the past two seasons (1.3 per game in 2017 ranked 17th, and 1.2 per game in 2018 ranked 22nd).
Jordan Brown (CB), South Dakota State: Brown totaled 147 tackles (6.0 for loss), 27 pass breakups and eight interceptions in 51 games.
Will Harris (S), Boston College: Harris totaled 225 tackles (7.5 for loss), seven pass breakups and five interceptions.
Iman Marshall (CB), Southern Cal: Marshall totaled 218 tackles (148 solo), 5.5 tackles for loss, 36 pass breakups and six interceptions in 50 games.
Amani Oruwariye (CB), Penn State: Oruwariye totaled 107 tackles (2.0 for loss), 22 pass breakups and eight interceptions in 48 career games.
Darnell Savage (S), Maryland: Savage's four interceptions in 2018 ranked 16th in FBS. He had eight in 46 career games with the Terrapins.
Khari Willis (S), Michigan State: Willis totaled 196 tackles (98 solo), 6.5 TFL, 4.0 sacks, 16 pass breakups and four interceptions in 46 games with the Spartants.
Specialists
Dan Godsil (LS), Indiana: Godsil is one of four Hoosiers players to ever play in 50 games.
Austin Seibert (K), Oklahoma: Seibert ranked in the top six in FBS in total points scored in each of the past two seasons with 132 in 2017 and 138 in 2018. He boosted his field goal percentage from 81 percent in 2017 (32nd in FBS) to 89.5 percent in 2018 (sixth in FBS). Seibert also punted 179 times for 7,457 yards (41.6 gross average) during his Sooners career.
Mitch Wishnowsky (P), Utah: Wishnowsky finished in the top 25 in FBS in gross punting in three consecutive seasons. He was second in 2016 with an average of 47.7, 22nd in 2017 with an average of 43.9 and 10th in 2018 with an average of 45.2.
