Vikings Postgame Report: The Vikings Lose A Tight One 12-10 on MNF, Head Into The Bye Week | CHI | Week 12
Welcome to the Week 12 edition of the Vikings Postgame Report. It was a tight game throughout the night, but the Bears leave U.S. Bank Stadium with the victory tonight by a score of 12-10. Both teams traded field goals throughout the game, but the Vikings were able to take the lead when Joshua Dobbs hit T.J. Hockenson for a 17-yard touchdown late in the 4th Quarter. The Bears were able to drive down the field after the following kickoff and iced the game with a 30-yard field goal of their own. Bears kicker Cairo Santos went 4-of-5 and was the difference in the game. The Vikings finished the game -2 in the turnover battle and their record dropped to 6-6. Quarterback Joshua Dobbs finished the game 22-of-32 for 185 yards passing, threw for a touchdown, and had 4 interceptions. Alexander Mattison was the leading Vikings back for the night, rushing for 52 yards. T.J. Hockenson led the receiving game with 5 receptions for 50 yards and a score. Defensively, Anthony Barr and Sheldon Day recovered 2 fumbles, Ivan Pace Jr. recorded his first NFL sack, Danielle Hunter added another sack-and-a-half, and Safety Josh Metellus added the other half sack. Vikings kicker Greg Joseph scored twice by adding a field goal and an extra point. The Vikings now welcome the bye week and will take the extra time to prepare for the upcoming game in Las Vegas versus the Raiders.
