Welcome to the Week 14 edition of the Vikings Postgame Report. The Vikings fall 34-23 to the Detroit Lions at Ford Field on Sunday afternoon and slipped to 10-3. There was a ton of offense in this game, especially in the 2nd-half. Justin Jefferson broke the Vikings franchise record for receiving yards in a single game, hauling in 10 receptions for 213 yards. Sammy White's single game receiving record of 210 yards had stood since 1976. Kirk Cousins finished the game 31-of-41 for 425 passing yards, 2 passing TD's and took three sacks. The running game for the Vikings never got going and only amassed 22 total yards in the game. Detroit's Offense ended up racking up 464 total yards: 134 on the ground, 330 through the air. Jared Goff completed passes to 9 different receivers and finished the game 27-of-39 passing, 330 yards, and 3 passing touchdowns. The Lions running game saw 6 different rushers combine for 134 yards on the ground and helped control the time of possession advantage for Detroit. Overall, the Lions took advantage of costly mistakes by Minnesota and came out the victor for their fifth win in six weeks.
